Relieving Body Pain with Safe and Easy Remedies

Sino ang magkakaroon ng body pain? Ang kaibigan mong nag-double shift o ang kapatid mong nanuod ng teleserye maghapon? Sagot: maaaring silang dalawa. Common experience ang body pain anuman ang lifestyle ng isang tao. Madalas na complaint: back at muscle pain. Alamin ang sagot sa muscle pain at ang mga gamot sa sakit ng katawan.

Back Pain

Ayon sa online publication na Orthoinfo ng American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons1, may aging din na nangyayari sa spine.

Kaya rin madalas nating naririnig kina lolo’t lola na masakit ang likod nila. Pero hindi ito sanhi ng aging lamang. Maraming ibang incidents at conditions na pwedeng maging sanhi ng back pain. Nararanasan ito bilang ache, cramps, sharp pain, atbp.

Isa na ang injury tulad ng “slipped” disk na pwedeng mangyari after a certain movement (e.g. lifting, twisting). Nanggagaling ang pain sa pressure sa nerves.

Sanhi rin ang osteoarthritis, na may wear and tear factor. Dahil dito, pwedeng magkaroon ng kiskisan sa joints ng spine kaya masakit. Pwede ring kumapal ang ligaments at numipis ang space ng daanan ng mga spinal nerves.

Ang scoliosis naman, deformity sa spine na pwede ring maglagay ng pressure sa nerves.

Maaari ring hindi related sa spine ang cause ng back pain, tulad ng disease. Very common rin na connected ang pain sa muscles. Karaniwan itong nararanasan kapag may strenuous o intense physical activity na hindi bahagi ng iyong routine at biglang ginawa.

Muscle Pain

Tinatawag din itong myalgia at ayon sa research institute na NeuRA2, sa localized area ito nararamdaman; at madalas, madaling malaman kung bakit ito nangyari. Kung nagsports na maraming running o jumping, sasakit ang legs. Kung swimming naman, pwedeng muscles sa upper body ang sasakit the next day.

Pero dapat ring maging aware tungkol sa iba’t ibang muscle pain at body pain medicine para dito. Kung systemic o sa buong katawan ito (hindi sa localized area), maaaring iba na ang cause, tulad ng infection. Pwede ring cause ang injury o ang stress/tension.

Remedies at Gamot sa Sakit ng Katawan

Para sa mga sakit ng katawan tulad ng muscle ache at rheumatic pain o arthritis, may PAINlahatang gamot tulad ng Paracetamol + Propyphenazone + Caffeine (Saridon) . It startst o release in as fast as 5 minutes. Maaari din siyang gamitin laban sa fever, headache, body pain, dysmenorrhea and toothache.

Ilang body pain remedy at gamot sa sakit ng katawan na maaaring subukan mula sa Prevention3:

  • Stretching kung saan nararamdaman ang pain.
  • Acupressure na gamit ang daliri o simpleng bagay tulad ng tennis ball na ididiin sa acupressure/trigger points, o sa mga tinatawag nating “lamig.” Makakatulong ito sa pag-relax ng muscles.
  • Topical formulations ay gamot sa sakit ng katawan na may soothing relief galing sa herbs tulad ng menthol.
  • Mind-body exercises at iba pang supportive therapies [link to Supportive Therapies article] tulad ng tai chi, yoga, at simpleng pag-enjoy ng music.
Hot or Cold?

Pagdating sa ice pack at warm compress, tandaan ang purpose nila. Para sa pain at swelling o pamamaga ang ice. Warm compress naman pag may stiffness (at least 48 hours pagkatapos naramdaman ang muscle pain), para mag-relax ang muscle.

Prevention

Mahalaga rin ang ilang preventive measures para hindi na lumala ang pain

  • Maintain good posture while standing and sitting.
  • Maging physically active. Kung nakaupo buong araw sa trabaho, tandaang mag-break paminsan-minsan para tumayo, magstretch, at maglakad. Remember to take deep breaths dahil may effect din ang stress at tension sa body pain.
  • Have a healthy diet at mag-exercise dahil nakakagrabe rin ng lower back pain ang pagiging overweight.
  • Huwag biglain ang exercise o movements/activities tulad ng pagbuhat ng mabigat na bagay. Pag-aralan ang proper form that will help prevent injury.
  • Lagyan ng warm up at cool down routines ang workout, na may kasamang stretching.

Pag severe o chronic ang pain — matagal at hindi nawawala — mabuting magconsult ng medical professional para mabigyan ka ng tamang diagnosis, treatment plan, at gamot sa sakit ng katawan. Kung injury o iba pang serious condition ang cause, baka kailanganin ng physical therapy, surgery, o iba pang tests at medication.
